All the parts are produced by serial production on CNC and laser-cutting machines to obtain a dramatic cut in the expenses and to get a final result of superior quality, with perfect interchangeability of the spare parts, with no need for further fittings.
Therefore, all the aluminum skins are cut to size, bent or pressed, drilled and ready to be riveted using the included rivets. To obtain a perfect result, even the rivet gun is included in the kit, together with some tack welds and their pliers. For a quick and perfect building it is suggested to use about 1500 tack welds (clecos) that could be bought separately. We can buy back these tack welds for the same price at the end of the work, or within 6 months.
The parts that need to be nailed (wing spars, some parts of the fuselage, etc.) are supplied ready-made in order to simplify the building.
Also included in the kit are:

The Savannah is an easy plane to build, and probably takes no more than 300 hours. The secret is the high degree of automation and computer-controlled drills and presses at the Italian factory.
There are plenty of rivets to fit, so the kit comes with an air-rivet gun and Clicos, but every hole is not only accurately predrilled, but also deburred, so the work is fast and enjoyable. The holes etc are not drilled, but are made by a high pressure water blast on a CNC machine.
The build manual is unusually clear and comprehensive and even contains excellent tutorials on the techniques required. Anyone with normal DIY skills could tackle it confidently.
It is all clean and straightforward work with no worries about mixing resins and getting cure temperatures right. Each part fits perfectly and you never have to bend metal or use a file. You don’t even need much space, until the final assembly, because each component is small enough to be built in a single garage – and light enough not to need much help from your partner in moving things around.
So put away those doubts. You really could build your own plane and enjoy the extraordinary satisfaction of touring those unspoilt beauty spots you’ve always fancied.
